So lately I haven’t been taking the time to be STILL. Not the kind of still when you pause and realize it is an amazing day, but the kind of still where it is so quiet, you see nothing but….your darkness. For I am passionate about many things, but one is being relentless with self examination. We all read about how powerful and amazing we are and this is easier to accept. Stillness creates beautiful tangible space. Space to listen to my soul, whether it sings….or whether it cries. Space where creation begins, sometimes again and sometimes in continuing song. And sometimes stillness brings the sickening feeling of failure….defeat…and sadness.
I try to regularly and literally fall onto my knees with my forehead pressed against the floor in the most ancient of poses. Out of this space comes purification. Out of THIS space comes surrender….and then beautiful hope. There is no clearer, easier or faster way to abandon self and meet the Divine than this.
Revelation comes in a whisper.
